Care & Usage: Do not immerse in water or clean in dishwasher. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth. See directions below. Place securely on a smooth flat surface. Grip sharpener firmly by its non-slip pads, between your thumb and forefingers.
Hold the knife steady and slide the blade between the sharpening rods, starting from the hilt and pulling it towards you in a smooth motion. Avoid applying excessive pressure and make sure to pull in a single direction, keeping the blade straight.
Repeat as necessary to get a sharp edge
take care to keep your hand away from the blade and maintain a firm hold to avoid injury.

CAUTION: Not for use with serrated blades. Blade should be cleaned before and after each use.
