Are Incontinence Supplies FSA Eligible?

You no longer need a detailed letter or prescription from your doctor to buy incontinence supplies with FSA (flexible spending account) dollars. That requirement was eliminated with the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act. Today, many of the health and wellness supplies you use every day, including products made for incontinence and bedwetting, are automatically eligible. At CVS Pharmacy®, you'll find an impressive assortment of FSA-eligible incontinence supplies, including adult diapers, incontinence pads, sheet protection, and underpads. You can also use your FSA, HSA (health savings account), or HRA (health reimbursement arrangement) for guards, shields, and incontinence-specific skincare products. For a complete list of FSA/HSA qualified expenses, consult your plan administrator.

Are Depend® Covered by FSA?

Yes, Depend® undergarments and disposable incontinence pads are FSA eligible. The brand makes a range of products for men and women who need varying levels of incontinence protection. At CVS, you'll find a selection of Depend® pads and pantiliners, Fit-Flex® protective underwear, and overnight Depend® products designed for 12-hour protection. Depend® Silhouette Incontinence Underwear for women features a premium shapewear fabric and an ultra-soft liner. Depend® Fit-Flex incontinence Underwear for Men is designed for maximum absorbency, odor control, and comfortable fit.

Is Poise FSA Eligible?

Yes, like Depend®, you can use FSA, HSA, or HRA funds for Poise® and TENA® incontinence products because they're considered a medical expense. Poise® incontinence pads are specifically designed for dryness, comfort, and odor control. The brand's product line features an impressive assortment of pads, from micro liners for occasional leaks, to overnight pads developed for maximum absorbency. The Contour Fit design helps prevent leaks and uncomfortable bunching. Although Poise® and TENA® incontinence liners and pads look like a product you might use during your period, they're quite different. Incontinence products are made to absorb the flow of urine; a fluid often expelled in a sudden surge. Incontinence pads absorb faster than menstrual pads to help prevent uncomfortable leaks and odor.
