OK, but not spectacular, drugstore concealer

. . I am 22 years old, Asian, have an NC 20/25 light/medium complexion, and am currently a full-time engineering graduate student. I own this Neutrogena SkinClearing Blemish Concealer in "Medium 15" and have been using it for almost a year, as of July 11, 2013. . I stumbled across this concealer at Target, figuring I could use a concealer that contained salicylic acid (0.5%) for my blemishes. The Medium 15 shade matches my NC 20/25, light/medium complexion perfectly. The concealer is in a click-up pen format, which a hard sponge tip, through the middle of which product is dispensed with two to three click-twists. . I honestly can't say much about the salicylic acid contained in the product -- I didn't notice any quicker improvement of breakouts and sometimes I did notice that the pimples just kept right on their natural course of inflaming, completely undeterred by the salicylic acid. . The concealer is ever so slightly drying, and if you build up too many layers of it, it does tend to cake and crack. The lasting power is not great -- but then again, it never claimed to be a long-lasting concealer. I'd say that about 6 hours after initial application (just going to school and work, no profuse sweating), the concealer has completely packed its bags and left your face. But speaking of application, the pen-format click-twist dispenser is very convenient, and I usually just click two or three times, dot the dispensed product from the sponge onto my blemish, and blend out with a concealer brush. The coverage is not full -- two layers need to be applied to achieve concealer-status, and then comes the issue of caking. Don't over-apply! This product does tend to cake easily with too many layers, especially in the drier months. . . Overall: 6/10 . (Although it matches my skin tone perfectly, the salicylic acid didn't do much for my breakouts, and it sometimes dried out blemishes, making them look darker when I'm not wearing makeup. Be careful not to apply too many layers, as the product does tend to cake in the drier months.) . . You can find my YouTube channel by searching for "Lucia on YouTube".
