    why the rave reviews

Not sure why all the rave reviews... Mascara goes on easy. SMALL brush is its best attribute. I don't wear lower lid eyeliner, but this mascara smudged along with the rest of them (even worse than some). Easy to take off - but so are others. Other + I can find is that the small brush makes getting the lashes in the corners easier to cover. Not enough to warrant the cost. MAJOR CON: CVS had this listed on website for $7.77. Went into the store and it was $9.67. Despite having website print of of lower price, they would not honor. Not worth EITHER price based on my use. Will stick with my tired and true - this falls way short based on reviews and cost. What's the point? B

    Love it

My search is over. I have finally found a mascara that works for me. Only waterproof mascara allows me to curl my straight eyelashes and they remain curled after applying mascara. Most waterproof brands do that, but so far only this one remains on my lashes and not on the skin around my eyes (The Raccoon Look). I have allergies and sneeze often. This tends to deposit mascara under my eyes so I have to carry Q-Tips with me to clean it up several times a day. Maybelline Lash Discovery mascara, goes on and stays on! It is drier than other brands that I have used and takes at least two coats to get the look that I want, but it is well worth it. I love the skinny brush because I can get close to my eyelid without making a mess and It is wonderful for bottom lashes. I also need to mention that unlike other mascara's I've tried Maybelline Lash Discovery does NOT flake. It is a very clean look. If you are looking for something to make your lashes look super thick this is not the product for you.

    Beats expensive mascara's!

I've been using this mascara for about 10 years now, and keep getting scared that they're going to pull it from the shelves! I've tried MANY new mascara's and none (not even the $40 tubes from Sephora) compare. My lashes flatten out with normal mascara, even if I curl before. This mascara holds the curl perfectly and doesn't flake. Sometimes, I dont take it off at night and just touch it up the next morning! It's not thick, so you can have it be thin and more natural, or thick and awesome! The small brush is amazing and allows you to separate your lashes to your liking. TO REMOVE: I have ALWAYS used baby oil. Since waterproof mascara is OIL based, you need to use oil to remove. Try it, it works amazing!

    The Only Mascara I Use

Granted it's dryer and lighter than others but that's why it works so well. Because I have thin, straight lashes, I have to curl with an eyelash curler. Wet, heavy mascaras straighten them out so the effect is lost. Only this one (and only in the waterproof version) keeps the curl. It also doesn't flake which is important because flakes would irritate my eyes.

    Best mascara so far!

I love this mascara! I have really thin, minimal lashes. The brush is tiny resulting in definition of each lash and TRULY NO CLUMPS! You do have to apply more layers if you want a fake lash look, but it gives you the flexibility of a little, or a lot. Holds up well to rain and tears at a movie. Doesn't flake either. The only flaw is that I can't seem to remove it all even with eye make up remover for waterproof mascara. No big deal. I use a little more remover the next morning.
