I am a 69 year old business person living in New Jersey. I have been a happy CVS customer for many years. As a business person for over 47 years I find myself compelled to write you about one of your products. I am speaking of Gold Emblem peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets. My wife and I discovered this particular product a few years back and immediately became huge fans. We keep a box in the car and box in our house and even regularly take a number of containers to our friends in France when we go to our home there twice a year. They were all hooked UNTIL you recently made a change in this product. As the saying goes in business, if it is not broken don’t fix it. For some unknown reason your manufacturer has taken a perfect product and has decided to change it. I would not be doing your company justice if I did not take the time to draw this to your attention. You may not even know it? The manufacturer has taken what was a perfect 1 inch pretzel and has now made a perfect 7/8th inch pretzel. Unfortunately as minute as that may sound, there is in fact a MAJOR difference in the taste. I guess it is the smaller amount of peanut butter that is now in those pretzels. Occasional there is absolutely none. Not exactly sure when this product variation occurred but PLEASE do yourself a favor and look into this distinct difference in taste. What has me confused is that the containers itself is still the same 24 ounces. Thus there must have been a financial savings in using less peanut butter. My wife and I thought we might have been imagining it until just recently our French friends commented that something was different. We had thought so as well however thought it might have been our imagination. When we returned home I took out an older container and measured them and discovered the difference. PLEASE go back to what was the perfect little snack. Best pretzel ever!
These pretzels were purchased by me a year or so ago. We all got addicted to them immediately. Once or twice we would pick them up at the grocery store and then regret it. Theirs were never as good. Others never had as much peanut butter or as crunchy. Now the ones we get at CVS are the only ones we like. I try to never be out of them. Delicious snack
This wholesome snack has just the right combination of sweet and salty. If you love pretzels -- if you love peanut butter -- then buy more than one because they won't last long. Tasty and Satisfying!
Just what I need for that quick burst of flavor to satisfy a mid-morning urge to snack. Much more healthy than so many other snacks I could and have chosen that trigger weight gain and spoil my good eating habits. I find that I can stop after just 3 or 4 where some snacks just don't satisfy unless you down the entire sack! Crunchy, smooth, sweet, salty....all in one!
