    Takes some getting used to

I bought this because it was time to replace my Diva. It was similarly shaped, but the pull tab seemed unnecessary. Upon inserting, the lips of the cup folded back so I had to re-adjust it several time to ensure it was sitting in my body properly. The tab overall just seems to be in the way. A simple cup seems to do. This cup also has potential to spill when you're pulling it out because it pulls one side of the lip. Take caution and be prepared for spillage. I don't feel like I can confidently go for longer than 3 or 4 hours without "checking it" to ensure it has migrated.

    Never looking back

I have been trying to take more steps in my life to be more eco friendly. I originally bought a different brand of a menstrual cup but the learning curve was too much for me to be comfortable with. I got an Instagram add for flex and I knew then that I could make the change with flex. Since the first time I used it I haven’t looked back. It is perfect for both beginners in the menstrual cup work as well as the seasoned pros. I recommend flex cups to all my friends and anyone looking to make an eco-friendly change.

    "Unthread"ing the game-changing pull tab

I've tried other cups before, but trying to break the seal for removal was so uncomfortable (ugh, the suction!) and messy (having to essentially lie down so I could reach with my finger to grab the lip - and there are only a few places you could do that and still be near a sink). What could have been a great way to pack light for deployments (because you might not be able to get mail for 3 months at a time) and having to pack light to travel turned out to be a nightmare. This pull tab is The BEST! But, be aware that when it says to "unthread" the pull tab for cleaning, it does not mean unthread like you would twist a screw from a nut; it means to unthread like you would pull a thread from a needle. I'm a mechanic, so my brain went straight to the first option, and I must have twisted it like 30 times and googled unthreading a flex cup for pictures until I finally came across one with it undone.

    Period Game Changer

For a normal to light day it’s fantastic. On heavier days I wear a liner, and I have to go to the bathroom more frequently, but that’s ok. I just dump the cup, rinse, and replace.

Learning Curve - But Worth It!!!!!

Hear me out... this took patience, forcing my body to relax, and emailing Flex to get it to work. The first day I got it, it did not work. I was discouraged. I emailed Flex and they responded almost immediately and gave me so many tips and tricks on how to make it work for me. The punch down fold is by far the easiest for me. I wasn't tilting my cup far enough back. The Flex team helped me realize that's what I was doing wrong. Once I figured that out, it was a breeze. I'm so glad I got this. The thought of not having to buy period products for the next few years at least... it's amazing. Thank you, Flex. Get this... it will change your life!

    GAME CHANGER!!

Someone turned me on to this life saver about two years ago and I have been a faithful user since then! I have encouraged all of my female friends and family to try this alternative route. Trying to make small changes in my everyday lifestyle in an effort to mitigate the huge effects of climate change through consumerism is minute when compared to the immeasurable difference that investing in this life changer (Literally!!) can make. DO IT NOW!!

    Love love love!!!

LIsten; I got so fed up with traditional methods of period management. I was always able to wear tampons, but I got to an age where tampons sometimes made me itch (in the worst possible ways, am I right?!) So I switched to pads-that was even worse. I was getting full blown yeast infections on the regular. I finally turned to flex cup, wanting to try something that would be better for the environment, and most importantly, wouldn't give me monthly yeast infections. I absolutely LOVE my flex cup. I've had it now for 5 or 6 months, and I use it EXCLUSIVELY even when I'm out and about. It only takes a little bit of planning, if you are uncomfortable rinsing it out in a public place, then just make sure you empty it and refresh before you go and it is fine up to 12 hours. I have never had a problem with leaking, or any discomfort. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE regarding my period. PLUS, my husband is happier that there's no more "smelly garbage" in the bathroom from tampons and pads-everyone is happy!

    Short cervix, but otherwise perfect

Menstrual cups have always made my fingers cramp when I had to reach in and pinch them out. I knew this cup would be perfect for me because of the pull tab and because it’s a very discreet looking black color. The cleanup is straightforward and works just like any other menstrual cup. Unfortunately, I knocked a star off because it came with another large learning curve. My cervix is a bit short, so sometimes if I didn’t put in the cup at the exact right angle I could feel the tab sticking out and it would irritate me. I couldn’t exactly push the tab upwards because then it would release the suction and spill. If there was a version for shorter cervixes, that would be amazing. Thank you so much to Flex for truly thinking about people with periods’ needs and comfort.
