CVS Sore Muscle Rub (Vanishing Scent) is a good value monetarily and would be a superb product if one's wallet is what hurts. However, if you are suffering from muscle pain, it is worthless. As stated, the product has little to no odor, which is a plus. Unfortunately, it also has little to no analgesic effect. It does not penetrate, generating warmth at the surface but not below skin level. Further, what little warmth is created dissipates in less that 5 minutes. For muscle pain of anything more than nuisance level, this is entirely unsatisfactory. Stick to Ben-Gay or similar creams. being a person that suffer from 2 herniated disk, lower back ach and sore feet due to job!!! This is the ONLY product that worked!!! I have tried so many others, brand names and nothing has the effectiveness of this !!! Highly recommend it!!! This product is the best kept secret of CVS! Easy applicator. Works quickly, no lingering menthol small. Works on any and all muscle aches and pulls. Discovered this product by "accident" when another name brand (max freeze.......) was out of stock. This is a wonderful product.
I love this product. I use it on my shoulders when I have a lot of tension in that area. You have to be careful because if you get to much on it will really burn. I have tried the spray also and do not like it nearly as well. It really burns. It is hard to control how much you put on. I do not notice a scent with this after it has been on a short while. I wish they still carried it in my local CVS store. I have to order it on-line and have to order several tubes at once to compensate for the shipping charges. I like this product much better than any of the other products like this. I love the sponge tip applicator.0 users found this review helpful.
