Well, I had very mild acne for the past 3 years and I am unfortunately a picker, my skin hates me for it. My skin was so clear for the past couple of months and my mild scars had faded out naturally. However, about a month ago I had a mild breakout and due to stress and anxiety I picked at these very badly. I caused open wounds on my face, and for someone who scars easily this was very bad. Once the wounds healed, they left nasty scars in-between my eyes brows, on my chin, on my nose and on my cheek. Looking at myself in past pictures with super clear skin, and looking at myself in the sunlight was so upsetting to me; I grew very self conscious. I went to CVS and decided to give this a try as it was cheaper than the other options. I was skeptical at first because I really wanted something to work and I didn't want to prolong the process of getting rid of these scars. However, it is only three days later and I am already seeing results. They are becoming lighter and don't look nearly as bad. I use this scar gel during the day. I am excited to see what my scars will look like in a month! It really works !!!!
I use it for acne scars (plus persistent red/brown scar marks from folliculitis on my thighs) and it works beautifully. I used Moderma before but saw no results. Works better than I expected
I have almost a year old scars on my arms and legs from eczema and bug bites by scratching them too much and I can't believe how well this gel works. After two days of using it I've noticed my scabs have smoothed down by a lot and my scars are already fading. I was skeptical at first because of it's price compared to Mederma's but I was kind of broke so I bought it try to it out and I am very impressed. It really works!
I have some pretty bad scars on my arm and I applied the CVS Scar Gel for Scars a few times a day for a few days and saw immediate results! After two or three days I could already see a difference and the scars appear to be disappearing. The instructions say to generously apply the gel 3-4 times a day for 8 weeks on new scars and 3-6 months for older ones. Do this and you won't be unsatisfied! The only problem I have with this product is that it costs almost $30 in my local CVS store and I now see it on the CVS website for half that. :(0 users found this review helpful.
