Terrible
I use earplugs to sleep because of the noisey street that I live on. Well, my usual earplugs that I buy were out of stock so I bought these.. Firstly, you have to adjust them in your ears just right to block out noise, which I never seem to be able to do, so I can hear everything. Secondly, they itch when they are in and lastly, they hurt my ear canals! I don't know why this is but I won't buy these again, highly uncomfortable.0 users found this review helpful. - TraceyReviewed 11 years ago
Too dense
I agree with Sarah. These earplugs are not the same as the old orange ones, which were more foam like. These hurt my ears and don't stay in right. They seem to be made of a material that is denser, more like clay than foam. I looked on the internet and it looks like EAR sells some yellow ones that would be similar to the orange foam ones.0 users found this review helpful. - Yes, I recommendSomebodyReviewed 11 years ago
Cheap, High dB rating, great packaging & no problems.
I use these every day for work. These get the job done and they work great. Occasionally they can seem a little tight in my ears from expanding--but this happens with most earplugs that aren't custom molded. End of story.0 users found this review helpful. - SarahVReviewed 12 years ago
Not the same (or as good) as the old orange ones
I've been using the CVS brand earplugs every day for years - I sleep in them, among other uses. They worked great and were durable enough to reuse a few times. The new turquoise ones have a different formula and are much more difficult to use. When you squeeze them to fit them in your ear, they pop back much too fast and it's a pain in the butt to get them in your ear before they become too big to fit. If you have to take it out and re-fit it for some reason while it's still warm, forget about it - I can't do it at all.I've started keeping several pairs on the nightstand so that if I have to take one out for some reason, I can put one in that is room temperature instead of fighting with the warm one. I am going to start trying different brands and hope I can find one that works better for me. They do still block noise just fine, so if you are only an occasional user of earplugs these would probably be fine. But if you are a constant user like me, I'd try another brand.0 users found this review helpful.
