Harder to swallow than the old calcium citrate 200.

Anyone who thinks the new "miniatures" are easy to swallow had probably not tried the old Calcium Citrate 200, which were thinner and coated making them the only calcium product I didn't have trouble swallowing. By comparison, the new "miniatures" are short and fat, making them difficult to swallow. I will not be buying them again. CVS should go back to the old product.

    hard to swallow

CVS calls them miniatures and says they're easier to swallow, but they're actually harder to swallow, because they are fatter (although shorter) than the old ones without vitamin D. CVS should bring back the old 200 mg calcium citrate with no vitamin D. I was a regular customer, but if I find another pharmacy that makes something similar to the old pills, I'll switch.

    Harder to Swallow

Although these are shorter tablets, they are thicker than normal. They do not go down easily and one must remember to be careful when taking, especially with the fact that the recommended dosage is 2 per serving!

    hard to swallow

These tablet are not "miniatures" at all. What they did was shorten the previous tablet from 3/4" to 1/2" but nearly double the thickness, so I still find it easy to choke on these because they're so "fat." Of course I couldn't find out the size until I opened the bottle. Also, most supplements mention whether or not magnesium is included but this one didn't until I found "vegetable magnesium stearate" in the fine print. With intestinal trouble, I can't take any magnesium. So, yet another calcium citrate hits the dust. I loved my former CVS calcium citrate with no D3, no magnesium, and in a truly small pill form that was easy enough to swallow. Wish they'd bring it back.

    What's a serving?

How many tablets make up a serving? That has a direct bearing on how long 200 tablets will last and how much this supplement costs per day. CVS seems to be pretty haphazard with the product information they provide. Why not just provide the standard nutrition chart from the bottle?

    Love them

I love the fact that they don't choke me going down like the regular sized calcium pills.

    Easier to swallow

My local CVS store stopped stocking the miniature CVS brand Calcium Citrate tablets. Don't know why. So much easier to swallow. At least they are available on line...but then I am paying shipping.

    Nice size

I have been recommended by my physician to take calcium supplements because of osteoporosis. I have trouble swallowing the typical calcium supplement because of the large size of the capsule; I frequently end up choking. I have to take more of these to get the same dose but they are much easier to swallow. The large size bottle does last a while.
