Clearasil

Clearasil makes a variety of acne treatment and skincare products. The Clearasil DailyCare Tinted Acne Treatment Cream contains 10% benzoyl peroxide to help dry out blemishes and kill bacteria to prevent further infection. The company also makes a wide range of other treatment creams specially formulated to treat pimples however, it should not be used on unblemished skin. Since benzoyl peroxide is a very drying ingredient, it can make dry skin worse or cause itching, peeling, or burning of the skin on areas without acne.

Always follow the directions as indicated on the product packaging when applying Clearasil to your face. Some products, like masks, should be left on for approximately 15 minutes before rinsing it off. Treatment creams can be applied to blemishes and left to dry before applying makeup. Cleansers should be left on the face for 30-60 seconds before rinsing off. Read the directions for each product to ensure that you're leaving it on for the correct amount of time.

To use Clearasil acne cream products, start with a clean, dry face. Use a pea-size amount and gently rub the cream onto the blemish with your fingertips until it absorbs into the skin. Make sure that the cream is completely dry before applying makeup or any other treatments over it. Once you're done applying the cream, wash your hands with soap and water, and never rub your eyes until the cream is removed from your fingers or it could cause eye irritation.
