Sudafed PE Head Congestion + Flu Severe Tablets relieve cold and flu symptoms, including sinus pressure, headache, sore throat, cough, and chest congestion. Each non-drowsy decongestant caplet contains 325 mg of acetaminophen, a pain reliever and fever reducer; 5 mg of phenylephrine HCl, a nasal decongestant; 100 mg of guaifenesin, an expectorant; and 10 mg of dextromethorphan HBr, a cough suppressant. These tablets can be used by adults and children 12 years and over for temporary, non-drowsy relief from coughing, nasal congestion, and minor aches and pains. See warnings below. Liver warning: This product contains acetaminophen. Max daily dose: 10 tablets (3,250 mg acetaminophen) in 24 hours. Taking 4,000 mg in 24 hours with other acetaminophen drugs or three+ alcoholic drinks per day may cause severe liver damage.
Acetaminophen may cause severe skin reactions. Discontinue use and seek immediate medical help if skin reaction occurs. Sore throat warning: If severe and lasts 2 days, with fever, headache, rash, nausea, or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly.
