I love the StoK dark roast un-sweet cold brew so thought I'd try this one for a lighter alternative. I found the coffee to be bitter and almost sour in flavor in comparison to the darker roast. The expiration date was totally fine, which I checked because I was so caught off-guard by the flavor. I don't like to waste food, so was disappointed to have a full bottle of this left after trying. My new coffee 365 days a year
Stok iced unsweetened cold brew is better than ANY iced coffee/ americano I've purchased at ANY coffee shop. It's PERFECT with a splash of half & half. There are two containers in my fridge at all times. BEST COLD-BREW EVER!!!
I recently made a major lifestyle change, which includes not just trying to exercise more, but also changing my eating habits. I have no problem quitting junk food, sodas, and sugary juices cold turkey, however having to stop drinking my usual caramel frappes and hazelnut iced coffees is a different story. I realized my favorite way to have coffee was always with an absurd amount of sugar, which of course, would do me no good if I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle. I always gave kudos to people who genuinely enjoy black coffee, but after many attempts to become a fan myself, I just couldn't get around to it. I've tried it many ways, hot, iced, and from many different brands and coffee shops. They'd always end up having a bitter aftertaste that made me want to never drink it again. One day a co-worker of mine brought in Stok's Unsweet Cold Brew and he let me try some. I couldn't believe this was just black coffee with 0 sugar. It tastes so good and smooth. It is the first black coffee I have ever drank that did not taste terrible. It is so good by itself!! I do Intermittent Fasting daily, so during my non-feeding period, I drink it as it comes and it helps curve my hunger while still enjoying the taste. During my feeding window, I add a tablespoon of half and half, not because it needs it, but just to change my second cup of the day up. I recommend this to anyone who either enjoys black coffee, or wants a healthier alternative to their coffee cravings. 10/10! I Would Crawl Through Broken Glass For This Coffee
Okay, maybe not broken glass but I do have to crawl to the kitchen every morning to get my STōK Cold Brew before I can stand! For years I drank cold Folgers in the morning to wake up (ugh, I know, right!?) and then hit the mermaid coffee shop on the way to work for better brew. If things were really rough, like a January morning here in Minnesota I'd throw in a STōK coffee shot in the Folgers just to get the blood pumping. Well, this summer I was shopping at Sam's Club and lo and behold, there was STōK Cold Brew Coffee in the cooler and I thought, "What the heck, I'll give it a try" and bought one bottle, just in case it wasn't good. The next morning I poured my big insulated tumbler full and went downstairs to my office for some COVID-19 induced web work. Sweet baby Jesus the first sip of this caffeinated nectar of the gods was java ecstasy! It was strong but smooth and delicious and some of the best coffee I've ever had! As soon as I got off work I went back to Sam's and bought a case, just in case they sold out! Once they stop carrying it (and they will because they always stop carrying *anything* I like) I'll order here because I'm sold on this brew! I never knew cold brew could be this good
I've been on a cold brew hunt for awhile. Coffee shops, grocery stores, online retailers. You name it, I've tried it. But nothing has ever tasted as smooth as this brand of coffee. It almost doesn't taste like coffee in a weird (but delicious!) way. The acidic notes and sometimes sour taste is nonexistent. All I can say is wow. Bye Starbucks
After spending WAY too much money going out to Coffee places and always being unsatisfied with our homebrewer for years, I decided to try and make my own at home cold brew coffees. The main ingredient being STOK un-sweet cold brew. I had no idea coffee could be so smooth and delicious, not even a hint of smoke or burn. I combine this with my homemade sweet cream (2c half/half, 0.5c condensed milk/1 tbsp vanilla - lasts well over a week) and I'm never drinking any other coffee again. I've tried some other grocery store cold brews and the comparison is laughable.
