Suggested applications: Post-operative wounds. Acute wounds such as abrasions and lacerations. Light-to-moderately-draining chronic wounds. Superficial and partial-thickness burns. I.V. catheter sites (peripheral and central lines).

Precautions: Stop any bleeding at the site before applying the dressing. Do not stretch the dressing during application as tension can cause skin trauma.
Make sure the skin is dry and free of soap residue and lotion to prevent skin irritation and to ensure good adhesion. The dressing may be used on an infected site only when under the care of a health care professiona

Choose a dressing size large enough to provide a margin that adheres to dry, healthy skin around the catheter or wound site. Site preparation: Prepare the site according to institution protocol. Clipping of hair at the site may improve adhesion. Shaving is not recommended. Allow all prep liquids to completely dry before applying the dressing to prevent skin irritation and ensure good adhesion. Open the package and remove the sterile dressing. Peel the paper liner from the paper-framed dressing, exposing the adhesive surface. Position the framed window over the wound site or catheter insertion site and apply the dressing. Press the dressing into place. Remove the paper frame from the dressing while smoothing down the dressing edges. Seal securely around the catheter or wound site. Firmly smooth adhesive border to the skin.

Do not use the dressing as a replacement for sutures and other primary wound closure methods. Store in a cool, dry place.
