[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used the Mach 3 for a few weeks now, I have to claim this the best disposable I have ever used. It gives a smooth and clean shave after running it under hot water and in conjunction with my shave cream. The only real drawback I have found is that it does not have the longer life that the replacement Mach 3 blades sustain. But for a throw in my bag or travel razor, this is as good as I have ever tried. Great Disposable Razor, Travel Friendly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like that Gillette introduced the Mach3 razor in a disposable format. I have been using Gillette products since I started shaving, and I remember the Mach3 being a relevation for me in shaving. That hasn't changed one bit with the disposable Mach3 razors which I like to take with me when I travel! The three blades give a nice, close shave with no worries of nicking yourself. The lubrastrip allow the blades to glide effortlessly to give you a fresh, clean feeling. It's also nice the the razor is weighted well - the handle is heavy for a disposable razor and this allows for more control when you need it! I truly recommend this razor for at home or on the go to any man out there using inferior blades. Gillette's Mach3 is better than most 4 and 5 blade razors out there at a fraction of the cost. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I think this is pretty good razor- for a disposable. I wouldn't use it for my day-to-day shaving, but if I were traveling or otherwise in need of a disposable, I'd probably choose this over others. I first tried it with a bit more facial hair than I'd normally try to shave - over a week. I wasn't expecting a lot, but wanted to put it to the test. I was pleasantly surprised that it easily and cleanly took off that much hair- at least for the first half of my shave. By the time I got to the second half of my shave, the blades were noticeably duller and I had to go over some areas multiple times. I found that the left half of my face was irritated, while the right half (shaved first) was fine. Keep in mind this is over a week of facial hair. My next shave I began with the same disposable razor to see how it would do on subsequent shaves. Nope. I quickly switched to a new razor. Too much irritation on second use. With a more reasonable amount of facial hair (2-3 days), the new razor did just fine, with minimal irritation. After the third time using these razors, I've come to the following conclusions: 1. I would not use a single razor for more than one shave. 2. New out of the package, the razor is quite good as far as sharpness of blades and how clean of a shave I got. 3. I experienced minor irritation only when reusing the razor or when trying to shave over a week's worth of growth. 4. I would probably choose these over other disposable razors, but 5. I would not choose to use these regularly in place of a traditional razor cartridge. 6. The lubricating strip is good, but for use as an "indicator strip" it seems useless for a razor I'd only use for a single shave. 7. Gillette Mach 3 Disposable- I disposed!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In reviewing this razor I must first point out I shave 7 days a week and have coarse, stiff whiskers. The Mach 3 fits the hand nicely and is super light. It has 3 blades. After about 4 shaves, it dulled. I normally shave with Mach 5 with,naturally, 5 blade system and its longevity is much greater. Mach 3 does not have a trimmer which is essential for under nose and sideburns. Even though it is disposable, this omission is a design flaw. A Complete Shave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've been using Gillette for several years but haven't used the Gillette Mach3 Men's Disposable Razor as yet. I thought maybe it would be more or less the same as I've been using as these years. Boy was I wrong. Even after several days of use it feels like the closest, cleanest shave yet! If you are wondering if this razor will get those hard to shave areas, I can tell you that have a hard time shaving on the upper part of my neck and this razor really gets those hard to shave spots well.
