After placement on the cornea, these lenses act as a bandage to protect the cornea and relieve pain during treatment of ocular pathologies as well as post-surgical conditions. For corneal protection, PureVision lenses can assist in treating conditions such as entropion, trichiasis, tarsal scars, recurrent corneal erosion and post-surgical ptosis. For corneal pain relief, PureVision lenses can be used in conditions such as bullous keratopathy, epithelial erosion and abrasion, filamentary keratitis and post-keratoplasty. PureVision lenses are commonly used for post-surgical conditions that require bandage use, such as LASIK, PRK, PK, PTK, corneal flaps and additional corneal surgical conditions.
