Bausch and Lomb is one of the largest providers of contact lenses. Whether you have myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism or presbyopia, Bausch & Lomb contacts can provide excellent vision and comfort. Bausch & Lomb contacts are made with unique materials that resist deposits to provide a clean, clear lens surface for long-term comfort and enhanced wettability.
Bausch & Lomb contact lenses designed to treat astigmatism provide lens stability through a unique Lo-Torque design. While the optics of the lens refocus light to a single point, the combination of these two features gives you sharp, clear vision and an advantage over traditional contact lenses. Bausch & Lomb's disposable monthly contacts feature MoistureSeal technology, allowing the lens to maintain 95% of lens moisture for 16 hours. You can enjoy a full day of wear without experiencing any dryness or issues while exercising, working or using electronic devices. In addition to treating myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia, Bausch & Lomb offer two additional types of contacts.
Bausch and Lomb's PureVision contact lenses line have several designs that are indicated for therapeutic use. After placement on the cornea, these lenses act as a bandage to protect the cornea and relieve pain during treatment of ocular pathologies as well as post-surgical conditions. For corneal protection, PureVision lenses can assist in treating conditions such as entropion, trichiasis, tarsal scars, recurrent corneal erosion and post-surgical ptosis. For corneal pain relief, PureVision lenses can be used in conditions such as bullous keratopathy, epithelial erosion and abrasion, filamentary keratitis and post-keratoplasty. PureVision lenses are commonly used for post-surgical conditions that require bandage use, such as LASIK, PRK, PK, PTK, corneal flaps and additional corneal surgical conditions.
The SilSoft and Silsoft Super Plus contacts from Bausch & Lomb are designed for daily wear or extended wear for the correction of pediatric and adult aphakia, which is the absence of the lens of the eye. This occurs after cataract surgery where an intraocular lens has not been implanted.
While most people are searching for soft contact lenses with a stable prescription, it is nice to know that Bausch & Lomb has advanced the technology further to allow contact lenses to do more than to just provide clear eyesight. They offer contacts that provide healing.
